      [Teachers of English Programme (TEC)]
      The St Giles Teachers of English programme is a teacher development programme designed for practising nonnative English teachers.
      This short course will help you to improve both your English skills and your classroom methodology.
      Your input will help to shape the course and you will be able to meet other teachers from all over the world. There is no formal assessment, but you can prepare for the Cambridge TKT (see below).

      [Cambridge TKT]
      The Cambridge TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) is an award for practising English language teachers, designed to test your professional knowledge. It aims to increase your confidence, and career prospects, by focusing on the core teaching knowledge required by teachers of primary, secondary or adult learners from all over the world. It can be taken at any stage in your teacher career, including if you have not yet started. We offer the TKT as part of our TEC and ICELT Module One Courses (Available at Brighton).

      The Cambridge ICELT is an award for practising teachers of English, which aims to develop candidates teaching knowledge and expertise. It is divided into two modules.       [Cambridge DELTA Module One]
      The Cambridge DELTA is a professional development programme and qualification for practising ELT teachers. St Giles Brighton offers Module One of the DELTA as a 12-week part-time evening programme. This first module is called Understanding Language, Methodology and Resources for Teaching and focuses on the background to teaching and learning.

      At our schools in the UK you can take an English course of 4 or more weeks, followed by an unpaid work placement of 4 or more weeks. You must have an Upper-Intermediate level of English (B2) at the start of the placement. You must have eligibility to work in the UK to take a placement.       [San Francisco Volunteer Placements]
